Stefanie Kelly started singing in church when she was two years old,
and although she ran off the stage crying that first Sunday, she
picked up her boots (or rather tears) and has been at it ever since!
As a musician, Stefanie's style is an eclectic mix of R&B, Jazz and
Rock. Classically trained in voice and piano with a rich history of
jazz studies, her original music chronicles the life story of a believer
who still struggles, but ultimately finds hope in the Lord. Stefanie's
lyrics journal her joys, heartaches, simple pleasures, real doubts,
but real faith in Christ alone.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Stefanie has continued her
life-long career of composing, recording, touring, and musical direction.
Currently, Stefanie is the Worship Arts Pastor at the Rock Church in
San Diego, CA, with pastor Miles McPherson, where she leads worship and is
honored to mentor tomorrow's generation of worshippers. In 2010, she released
her third record of original tunes, and while Stefanie is focused in the studio,
her heart is most at home leading worship (although every now and then you
might find her sitting in on a jazz club jam session)!
Some of her career highlights include performances with musicians David Foster, Josh Groban, Natalie Cole, Israel Houghton, Smokey Robinson, Third Day, Newsboys, Leeland, Nate Morton, Abe Laboriel, Steven Curtis Chapman, Paul Anka and Ralph Carmichael. She has performed for recording artists James Taylor, James Ingram, Denise Williams, Billy Preston, CeCe Winans, Randy Travis, Dionne Warwick, Oleta Adams, Ramsey Lewis, Peabo Bryson and many others. Stefanie was also invited to be the guest artist for Billy Graham, performing an original song for the Albany, New York crusade.
